1. Confirm your model and treatment goal.
Have the full device name to hand, including its generation. Identify the programme you intend to use and the controls that start, pause or stop it. Check the instructions for power, charging where applicable, supports and cleaning. This first read makes the rest of the setup easier.
Review the safety and suitability information at the same time. Celluma lists specific contraindications, including light sensitivity and some circumstances requiring medical advice. If a condition or medication may affect your suitability, resolve that with your healthcare professional before treatment. Our team can help you locate the correct model instructions.
2. Prepare the skin or scalp.
Start with a clean, bare, dry treatment area. Remove makeup and leave moisturisers or other barrier products until afterwards. Move clothing away from the skin you intend to treat. For a hair programme, arrange or part the hair as directed so the light can reach the intended scalp area.
Prepare the space too. Choose a comfortable chair or treatment bed, put the items you need within reach and leave time for the complete programme. If this is your first setup, allow a few extra minutes to arrange the supports and familiarise yourself with the controls before starting the timer.
3. Position the device and eye protection.
Use the placement shown for your model and application. Check the treatment area, the required spacing and any support or stand. Shape a flexible panel only as directed, and keep ventilation gaps where the manual requires them. Secure the cables so you can hold the intended position comfortably.
For facial use, follow the model’s eye-protection instructions and use supplied protection as directed. Avoid looking directly into illuminated LEDs. Complete these adjustments before you begin. If the position is difficult to maintain, adjust your seating or support first so the treatment can proceed without repeated movement.
4. Select the programme and start the cycle.
Choose the named programme that matches your goal from the options on your device. For example, select the Acne programme for an acne routine or Wrinkles for the corresponding skin application. Programme names and combinations vary, so use the controls described for your model.
Let the programmed cycle run to completion. Many Celluma programmes last 30 minutes. If you need to pause or stop, follow the device’s procedure. You do not need to adjust the programme by judging the colour or brightness of the lights. Near-infrared light is invisible to the eye, so an LED that appears dark is not automatically inactive.
5. Finish your session and care for the device.
Once the programme has finished, continue with the skin-care products appropriate to your treatment. This is the point for products that would otherwise form a barrier during light exposure. Follow the cleaning and storage instructions for the device and its accessories so everything is ready for the next session.
Make a quick note of the date, mode and area treated. You can also note any setup adjustment that made you more comfortable. Keep the instruction link and your device information together; they are useful if you need help with operation, care or support later.
6. Build the course into your routine.
Plan the next session using the treatment protocol for your goal and exact model. The initial course and any maintenance routine are separate from the length of an individual session. Start with the recommended schedule and make it easy to follow by choosing realistic days and times.
Treat the first session as the beginning of a course, rather than a deadline for visible change. If you take progress photographs, keep the lighting, angle and distance consistent. Review your routine across the intended course so you are comparing like with like.
For help getting started, tell our team which Celluma you have, the area you want to treat and the programme you plan to use. Those details let us guide you to the right setup information and help you make the device part of a confident, repeatable routine.
