Celluma POD II: Four Treatment Modes in a Portable Device

The Celluma Journal · Updated

Celluma POD II is a compact, battery-powered LED device with four treatment modes: Acne, Wrinkles, Pain and Body Contouring. Its main advantage is targeted coverage in a portable format. Choose it when a focused treatment area and easy handling suit your routine; compare larger panels when broader coverage is the priority.

What the manufacturer specifies

The manufacturer's POD Series 2 product page identifies four FDA-cleared programmes and a treatment area of 6 by 2.75 inches, approximately 106.5 cm². It lists 38 LEDs, a rechargeable design and a 30-minute session. That compact coverage is useful when you want a portable format for a defined area. Compare it with a larger panel if broad coverage is your priority.

The launch announcement introduced POD Series 2 in September 2025. When shopping, check the exact generation: the programme list for an older POD should not automatically be applied to POD II, or vice versa.

Four modes, four reasons to consider it

Acne mode is intended for the acne application described in the device instructions. Wrinkles mode addresses the labelled wrinkle concern. Pain mode is available for the stated pain application, while Contour mode is intended for body-contouring treatment within its labelled scope.

These are selectable programmes, not four separate lamps you have to configure yourself. The mode controls the device's light delivery for its purpose. You do not need to choose a wavelength manually or infer the programme from the colour you see.

Body contouring should be evaluated by its intended contour or circumference outcome. Ask about the eligible treatment areas and the course for POD II. A small treatment window means the coverage plan is particularly relevant when comparing it with larger contour-capable devices.

When the compact format makes sense

POD II can be practical when you want to address a focused area, prefer a smaller device or need something that is easy to store. Think about the area you want to treat and whether it fits the device comfortably. A larger area may require a different coverage plan, so evaluate the real session rather than the packed dimensions alone.

The manufacturer lists a supplied strap. Use it only in the way the instructions permit, and confirm how to secure the device for your intended area. Do not assume that a strap should be tightened against every part of the face or body.

POD II or a larger panel?

The most useful comparison is coverage and convenience. A larger PRO II offers Acne, Wrinkles and Pain programmes with a larger panel format. PRO Plus+ adds Contour. Other models offer different combinations, including Hair.

POD II does not include Hair mode. If scalp treatment is a goal, compare a Hair-capable model rather than repurposing another setting. Likewise, do not compare devices solely by LED count: treatment area, programme design and positioning all influence the practical choice.

A simple first-session plan

Read the current POD II manual, review suitability and prepare the treatment area as directed. Select the named mode for your goal and position the device securely. Follow the eye-protection, spacing and skin-preparation instructions. Let the programme complete without adding extra time to compensate for the smaller size.

Check the charging and handling directions before travel. Keep the supplied power equipment with the device and confirm any relevant transport rules. The convenience of a portable device is strongest when storage, charging and treatment fit naturally into your day.

See whether the coverage suits you

Explore the Celluma POD II product page and ask Celluma Asia to demonstrate the device over your intended treatment area. Compare the same goal with a larger panel so you can choose confidently. Our device buying checklist helps you assess programmes, instructions and support alongside portability.

Frequently asked questions

What are the four POD II modes?

Acne, Wrinkles, Pain and Body Contouring. Confirm the precise indications and eligible users in the current POD II instructions supplied for your market.

Is POD II cordless?

The Series 2 device is battery-powered. Follow its charging instructions and use the specified power equipment.

Can POD II treat the scalp for hair growth?

POD II does not include Hair mode. Compare RESTORE, RESTORE II, MYSTIQUE or another model with that specific programme.

Why choose a larger Celluma panel?

Broader coverage may make the session more practical for your intended area. Compare treatment size and mode combinations rather than assuming bigger or smaller is automatically better.
